Well, as much as I hate to say this, my LM is growing up. Last weekend when we went to Babies-r-Us we were torn between a toddler bed or a couch I liked that open into a sleeping bag style bed. Being he loves the movie CARS it was only fitting that I get him a couch of the same movie. It was cute, and he uses it daily. He actually likes it better with it out like he’s sitting on the bed…lol Here is a photo & link. It’s of Toy Story but they don’t have on online of CARS. Well, with that we purchased a new baby gate, toddler sides, and a few other things. When we got home, we found out the baby gates doesn’t get small enough for our doors. Keep in mind we are in a 1952 made house which the doors are 30″ wide instead of bigger. GREAT and the crib broken down into the toddler bed is not big enough for the sides and it’s TOO high for my child. Odd right?
So this past weekend we decided to go back and return these items and get a car seat that we wanted for him, it’s a 3-n-1 and goes up to a backless booster. I LOVE it, and it’s higher then the one he has now and will fit his ever growing self way up until he is 100lbs. It also has received a 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and is considered the “caddy” of car seats. We figured they had a sale and against our return we would pay nothing for it. Well, apparently they did not stock up for their sale OR they wanted to get rid of their stuff quickly. They were out. They offered to let us order it online at one of their computers but we were not allowed to use the discounts for that store. My thought is being they didn’t have it, they should honor it. None the less we passed and ended up buying LM some more items. A Pop Corn Popper, A Toodles, and some mega blocks (photos here)

I was picking up my lil man yesterday and figured I would swing by and pick something up to eat considering hubby was out of town. I considered chinese and my favorite chinese place would require me to order, wait, and take him out with the car seat and walk in for a total of 2 minutes and then come back out. So I opt’d for the drive thru. then I had an epiphany.
Many single working moms only have this option being it is harder to try to go home and cook when you can just swing by the drive thru. Now, I am referring to when the kids are non walking, first months of their life when they basically travel in the car seat and you carrying their ever so getting heavier ass.
It also made me realize why so many are not healthy. Many try SO hard to work out and be a better them but with a kid or even several kids running around, I can see where it would be an issue.
I also realized that even though your priorities change, you should not neglect yourself. Whether it be time with the hubby, yourself personally, or even just YOU time which EVERY WOMAN NEEDS.
I have to admit that I put lil man first above everything else and I need to stop that. I am mentally working on it.
I feel that my current journey personally is going to put everything else into places for me and I am excited about it all.
To ALL the mothers out there. do NOT neglect your ‘ME’ time. it will show up later and you may go postal on everyone. Than again, if you decide to, let me give you my list and have at it. I promise it’s not long…lmao
In attempts to find out information about infants, I constantly do research online. It can be a blessing and a curse. At times, the information makes sense and I am able to tell what is going on instead of spending money going to the doctor. The curse is not every child is the same, so you get many different answers and I don’t know what is right. Perfect Example: When do babies start teething.
I have found out, however, that at 4 months old, he has gotten his first tooth. Everywhere is saying 6 months but noooo. I have abseil day and night so I should be ok. I hope it doesn’t hurt him too bad but being he has never experienced it before, any reactions would not surprise me.
Ever since Mikey has been sick, it’s very difficult to try to know the difference between normal baby things and serious issues. It’s a blessing he survived but then again it ruined my thoughts on normal baby things. Again, why I am always online looking at things.
I’m sitting here watching my hubby holding my son, looking too cute and I hope he can sleep through the night. Both of them…..lol
Up until this point, I did NOT want to know how much weight I gained in this experiance. I finally got the nerve to ask today being I am noticing how the belly is nothing BUT kid. It appears I have only gained 13 lbs so far. I can honestly say that according to my stretch marks, they say otherwise..lol
I am beginning to come to terms more that I am going to be a mom. The movement of this fiesty creature in me is proving I have a lot to expect when he comes into thie world. I am excited about the finished product more so than the process of getting him here. I had my first ‘fake labor pain’ and I did not enjoy that one bit. It made me think twice about attempting to do thing natural even though everyone is telling me I should.
I know everyone is different in how they react to pain. I was told in my 36 weeks is when they will check the cervix and also be able to know when he is expected. I’m nervous b/c the first pap smear while pregnant was BAD. painful even
I’m predicting now, december 29th, 8 lbs 6 oz 21 inches long..lets see what happens…hehehe
